Does anybody have a solution on configuring an OBi device (e.g. OBi100) to use Google Voice without using an GMail address?
OBi's FAQ states:
Can I use a non-@Gmail account Username with Google Voice on the OBi?
Yes, you can use non-gmail account (such as your Google Apps account) and your Google Voice account can be configured on the OBi.
When setting up I always get a Backing Off (0s): Authentication Error

Hi:
My instructions are the current, and only procedure that applies to using Google Voice on OBi devices. Just get yerself a Gmail account, and transfer your number into that account.
