Title: Using OBi110 to drive all home telephone jacks
Post by: Persi on March 02, 2015, 03:19:55 PM
Sorry for the basic question - I'm new and about to install an OBi110.  Is it possible to use the OBi110 to drive all the phone jacks in your home?  ie: if I connect the 'Telco' output from the OBi110 to my home telephone jack (in my kitchen), will phones connected to other jacks in the house (my bedroom) be able to find the OBi110?  I was not able to determine from the literature what the 'Telco' output from the OBi110 is designed to do...

Once again, sorry for the basic question here.

It's actually the other way around.  You would connect the Phone port of the OBi110 to your household wiring.  It's important that you disconnect your telephone company's line first, otherwise you could damage your OBi.

The Line port is for connecting to an active POTS line.
