Title: Obi504 and Ring.to
Post by: azphotog on March 13, 2015, 09:07:21 AM
Has anyone successfully set up a ring.to on an Obi504 or Obi508?

Hi azphotog,

It's Roland from over at the RingTo community. Apparently this guy, https://community.ring.to/thread/1298 (https://community.ring.to/thread/1298) was successful setting up the 508 with RingTo, though I think he ultimately decided RingTo wasn't the best fit for his needs. I'm curious, may I ask the reason for your interest in the 5xx series?

Hi Roland,

I have three phones that I would like to configure with my ring.to account and 4 google voice numbers that I would like to control from one unit.  I tried diagramming out the setup on two Obi202's but I did not have the control i needed as to which numbers rang which phone.  I found a Obi504 that was the same price as two Obi202 so I am giving that a shot.

Note that the OBi 504 doesn't directly support Google Voice, so you'll need to either use a OBi 20x or OBi 1xx, or port your GV numbers out to some SIP ITSP(s).
