Hi everyone,
I've set up my Obi110 with Google Voice and for the most part it works great. I haven't had any issues with sound cutting out or calls disconnecting or anything like that. However, when I place an outgoing call, I sometimes don't get the first 1-2 seconds of incoming sound.
It seems like the ringback tone is playing a bit too long - for example, if I call a Verizon Wireless cell phone number and the person doesn't call back, they have a message that says "Your call has been forwarded to an automated voice messaging system..." but I hear <ringbacktone> - "--ded to an automated voice messaging system...". The incoming audio starts immediately after the ringback tone, which is why it seems like a timing issue. This is a problem when a person does pick up, and I don't hear them say "Hello?" - then I can't tell whether we're connected or not.
I also tried disabling the feature to automatically enter the 1 digit on incoming calls to auto-accept calls from the Google Voice prompt, because I want to hear the prompt announcing the user name. I also lose the first 1-2 seconds of audio on incoming calls - when I pick up, instead of hearing "Call from John Doe. To accept, press 1..." I just hear "To accept, press 1...".
Any thoughts on this?
Thanks in advance!
Paul
