Previously, I had set up manually, via the Obi110's own setup page, the configurations for Google and
VOIP.MS. Under this setup, if I dialed out on the
VOIP.MS to my own
VOIP.MS phone numder,
VOIP.MS would recognize that I was calling myself and would automatically answer in my message mailbox, telling me how many messages I had, etc.
However, recently, due to some changes at Google or Obihai, I had to update and reset my Obi110. I decided to set up the Obi110 using ObiTalk, rather than the manual setup. All seemingly went well and both Google and
VOIP.MS function fine for outgoing and incoming calls.
BUT, I have one problem, the solution for which escapes me. Now, if my phone handset shows a message waiting in my
VOIP.MS mailbox, and I try to dial my
VOIP.MS phone number, using the
VOIP.MS outgoing line (SP2),
VOIP.MS nonetheless thinks the call is coming in from some other number, not my own, so it answers with my greeting, as if I wish to leave a message, rather than going directly to my mailbox to retrieve messages. I can interrupt the greeting with the star (*) symbol and manually enter my password, but this is tedious.
Can anyone advise how I can get my setup altered, so
VOIP.MS recognizes that I am calling my own number? Must I abandon using ObiTalk and go back to setting up parameters manually on my Obi110 server page? It would be nice to preserve the ObiTalk setup method, if possible, but I don't want to have to manually access my mailbox for every time I call to retrieve messages.
Thanks.
