Help needed: Cannot add obi 200

Hi,

I am new and tried search for answers withou lucks.  Below is what I did.  Please help if you know what the problem might be.  It is Obi200 from Amazon.

1. I signed in Obitalk through gmail.
2. The webpage popped up a window asking "do you want to add new device?"  I answer "yes"
3. The new page ask to dial **5-xxxx.  I dialed, and it said "please wait, it could take up to 120 seconds."
4. 120 seconds passed.  It said "Add an OBi Device - Failed to connect to your device." and asked me to check **9-222-222-222 (it worked), retry, etc.

I repeated the above process numerous times.  Always the same results.  Search the forum.  in 2018, some said it was server issue.  But I don't know what I can do.  Sent support a message, no reply yet.  First time Obi owner.  Would really appreciate if anyone has any suggestions.  Thanks in advance.

Can you tell us what you are trying to do?
Add a Google Voice line?
Add a SIP line?
Etc?
First do a factory reset to be sure the device is clean.
System Management> Device Update> Reset Configuration.

Optional
Temporarily turn off the firewall in your modem / router if you know how.
Turn it back on when on when done.

Using Google Chrome in a single tab, without any ad blockers, etc go to www.obitalk,com
and try again.

Have your gmail account ready to get your new Google Voice number
That didn't work for me.
If you leave the "I want to configure Google Voice on this device." box checked
it may not work. It didn't for me earlier today.


Go to voice.google.com and get your number using your gmail address
then login to obitalk with that gmail address and complete the configuration.
