I purchased a 2182 and it's impressive in its features...

I have it working on GV and Callcentric services.

I found the Obihai IP Phone Administration Guide on a non-Obi site since Poly has hidden the links.
But there's so much I don't have a clue about.

And I see the
12
34
squares on the display but not sure what they indicate.

Is there another document that outlines what the various front panel keys do?

The 1,2,3,4 represent multiple pages. There is a button below the rest with three dots (...) that toggle the pages.

The Admin Guide:  https://www.obitalk.com/info/documents/admin_guide/OBiPhoneAdminGuide.pdf

I think they refer these to tabbed pages. I don't use them.

Thanks...

(If only there was a user manual as the Admin one assumes you know what everything is.....)

So my next mystery is the SP1-5 screen labels.

When I set Voice Services - SP1 X_DisplayLabel to something; it takes it but then reverts back to Google Voice & X_Display Number to my Google login a few minutes later.

SP2, etc. don't do that but instead when I put a 4 digit X_DisplayLabel in, it repeats in X_DisplayNumber.

The Callcentric SP behaves as expected.

Sorry at work and can't investigate more, but someone else will pop in I'm sure.

Are you in EXPERT CONFIG?  I use the regular device config screens for mine, the DEVICE CONFIGURATION page with "Configure your label and line keys".

Make sure that you click SAVE just below number 6. Each section has a save button. The phone will probably need to reboot.

You can get confused and cause issues if you configure some items in expert and some in the regular config screens.

I've seen the Expert warning on 200/202, but don't recall if I saw it in this case, where I came in via the 2182's internal web server.

Yes, I know about saving and rebooting the phone. The puzzle to me is: I save, reboot, see my new labels, and then, some minutes later, the two fields have reverted. And it's only the top (SP1) setting, not SP2,3&4  which have their own quirks.

On the Left Line Keys, the speed dial's 2nd line insists on saying Google Voice. It's almost like web pages ads you can't block
