Google voice has no box for 'Use chat"

I have followed the instructions to set up Google voice with oib. However, logging in to Google voice - to settings - to Phone tab. There is no check box about Google chat.!!!>??

Were you able to successfully make a call from Gmail?  If not, try and/or troubleshoot that first, then recech the Phones tab.

You must make one call from within your gmail using the "call phone" feature before "Google Talk" will show up in your Google Voice.

From your Google Voice page, click on Gmail at the top. In Gmail, on the lower left choose "call phone". You will have to install the plug in and enable calling from within Gmail before the "call phone" feature will work.
