There's no reason you should have to use # to access the PSTN Line, losing many of the OBi's capabilities in the process.
Not likely an issue since PSTN has it's own features. FWIW the PSTN is U-verse Voice.
I'm guessing that
**8 doesn't disable features that
# might, right?
As for
#, what is it's function supposed to be and is there a good ref describing this.
QuoteVerify your OBi is configured as follows:
Physical Interfaces -> PHONE Port -> PrimaryLine : SP1 Service
Physical Interfaces -> PHONE Port -> DigitMap : (Default checked)
Physical Interfaces -> PHONE Port -> OutboundCallRoute : (Default checked)
Physical Interfaces -> LINE Port -> InboundCallRoute : (Default checked)
ALL PHONE & LINE Port parameters have
OBiTALK Settings checked. None have
Device
Default checked. I presume
OBiTALK Settings is what you are referring to as 'Default'; that right?
QuoteReplace:
Physical Interfaces -> LINE Port -> DigitMap
with the applicable value for your calling area:
[ snip ]
Before we get into changing the DigitMap, here's what it has now.
(xxxxxxxS4|1xxxxxxxxxx|xx.) [ The default I presume? OBiTALK Setting is checked as noted ]
What, if anything, is the above settings supposed to do?
If suggested revisions are made, how best to determine if my area is 10- and / or 11-digit dialing? 7-digit dialing was discontinued here last month and no longer available.
