Other VoIP Service Providers instead of Google Voice for Obi 110

Can someone direct me to a list of the best alternate VoIP Service Providers that are compatible with the Obi 110 other than Google Voice which can also:

1. Provide Caller ID -- WITH NAME?

AND

2. Provide an interface similar to Google Voice that allows me to set up list/s (unlimited numbers, no cap like Comcast's pathetic 12 number limit) to block scam and spam callers?

I like my Google Voice, the only gripe I have is that their Caller ID feature does not identify callers by name. I would gladly pay for this service if Google Voice made it available, unfortunately they don't. Any info much appreciated! Thanks in advance!

You can go with Anveo which provides CID Name and allows blocking unlimited numbers. DID's with unlimited inbound are $1.99 plus $0.80 for E911 service per month.

Another way is to use Simon Telephonics Google Voice Gateway Here. They provide SIP credentials and CID with Name works. However, no 911 service.

A journeyman electrician sent his apprentice with a 5-gallon bucket and was told to put the ends of the service drop in the bucket and fill it with volts. He was there all day.

CallCentric is an outstanding VOIP provider which will meet your needs to a "T".  You can check their reviews at dslreports.com as well as reviews for other providers.  As you compare reviews, keep an open mind, compare the ratio of good to bad reviews, and keep in mind that there will always be unsatisfied customers with any service provider regardless of how outstanding a company is.

As N7AS said, you can currently get CNAM service using google voice from https://simonics.com/gvgw/ for free.

You will have to sacrifice your message waiting indicators, both visual and stutter tone.

babobi,

Another free alternative some people have mentioned here. CC has free incoming DID with NY numbers. It seems that GV+CC+OBi=CID name+Number

Thanks for the feedback everyone! I went with tjnga and QBZappy suggestions to use Callcentric. I opened an account and added it to my Obi 110 on the SP2 port. I only want the NAME Caller ID for INCOMING calls, NOT outgoing. Obi dashboard now says: "SP1 Google Voiceâ„¢ Account   Connected" and underneath that it says: "SP2 (Optional) Callcentric account Registered"

I have added the new Callcentric number to my Google Voice forwarding numbers and checked the GV Callcentric checkbox. But when I make test INCOMING calls, only the number is showing up, NOT the name. What am I doing wrong? Note that I did this setup with the web portal as I am currently in a different city than the location of the Obi 110 and landline phone. Do I have to be at the physical location where my Obi 110 is in order to configure the Callcentric with SIP? Thanks again!

Tried voip.ms with my obitalk 110.  No go.  Crummy support.  Still looking for VOIP provider

I've used voip.ms for support, many, many times and they are always great.  I think you had a bad experience.

I though we would lose GV voice mail features altogether with Simon's gateway - do we ONLY lose stutter and blinking lights?  Would I still get my email voice mails sent?

You will still have GV voicemial and you will still get your email or text notifications if you set them in GV.
