Hello,

Trying to register an Obi110 for testing a Voxbeam connection. Voxbeam don't use usernames & passwords, they simply allow by IP address. Does anyone know how to register / connect an Obi110 in this situation ?

http://www.whatismyip.com/ is one of the sites that will immediately tell you your IP address.

http://www.voxbeam.com/help tells how to use that.

For testing the number should be fine. If you want to sign up with them, and your IP addess changes,  then you would probably want to sign up for a dynamic DNS service. Many are free. Search for "dynamic DNS" for information. I suggest you look for discussions that compare more than one such service. dyndns.orgis the most well known, and they still offer free service with some limitations. I am not sure that this will work with VoxBeam, but I would expect so. If they limit their customers to only those with static IPs, that would limit their potential customer base.

Hello,

The Voxbeam site simply tells you to use their proxy  sbc.voxbeam.com, that is entered on the Obi110 and the ip the Obi is currently sitting on is registered with Voxbeam in the list of allowed ips however the Obi is just sitting at "service not configured".
I'd imagine there are other settings in the Obi config that need adjusting in this situation or is it a case that you simply can't use an ATA with Voxbeam ?
