I had been using my Obi100 for six months without any problem using Google Voice with a cordless phone. I had recently changed routers to a Mac brand and then started having problems with the Obi. Now when I make an outgoing call, whenever someone picks ups/answers the phone, the line goes dead. No ringing, no voice, no sound. I tried resetting the Obi. I also moved the Obi to another part of the room so that it wasn't plugged into the same electrical circuit. That worked for a day and then the same thing happened. I don't know if it is Google Voice, the Obi, or switching routers was just a coincidence. Or, perhaps Google Voice was having a problem. Has anyone ever heard of this happening? Thanks!

I doubt that switching routers was just a coincidental event for this problem. Switch back to the old router, and I'll bet the problem goes away.

In the setup for your router, do you have a DMZ you could put the OBi into? Alternatively, in the http://www.obitalk.com/forum/index.php?topic=4071.0 you will find info on what ports to open.

Thanks Shale. Unfortunately my old router bit the dust and that is why I replaced it with the Mac router. I'll read the link you noted. I did find someone else's post with the same problem.

See if disabling SIP ALG on the Router solve your problem.  If it is already disabled, then try enabling.

BTW, if you connect the OBi ATA directly to your Modem and reboot both in the appropriate order, do you experience the same problem(s)?  This approach eliminates the Router out of the equation.
