Just got my OBi100. Setup went smooth and easy. I have a question. I setup my device in my NY home. When I take it down to my Fl home do I have to change anything?

No, you can take it with you and use it without any changes.

A journeyman electrician sent his apprentice with a 5-gallon bucket and was told to put the ends of the service drop in the bucket and fill it with volts. He was there all day.

I assume that you have similar routers in both locations? If you experience one-way audio down there, scan the forums for the cures.

Also, are you letting the device get its own IP address or did you assign an IP address yourself? There is a chance there may need to be a change when you get down there.

Me? I'd buy two units and leave one there. Then call there and if somebody answers you KNOW they broke in and you call the police. People hate to not pick up a ringing phone :-)

I maintain an Obi in both my houses. I fork all incoming calls. No matter which location someone calls both Obi ring. The caller does not know where you are unless you tell them.

Good Luck!

I did not set any IP on the unit. So I assume it's set to obtain an IP address automatically. The router there is not the same. Thank you all.
