Ethernet Light on Obi110 keeps blinking

I installed my new Obi110 yesterday and set it up with GVoice and it seems to be working correctly. I notice that the ethernet activity light on the Obi110 keeps blinking. It's blinking even when my computer is off and no phone is connected. I have it connected to an SMC Barricade-N router. Is this blinking normal?

Yes, that's perfectly normal.

As per RonR response, it is normal.

Since Obi device has to communicate with the OBiTalk, then there is some traffic in the ethernent port, which will be shown on the ethernent port.

Thanks for the responses. I assume that the amount of data being transfered is minimal and not something to be concerned about. I don't want to exceed my ISP cap.
