I called Phonepower for support in helping me switch fro GV. The very first thing the tech asked was the userid/password for my OBI portal. Is this typical? Should I entrust an outsider with this access? I was thinking he would just talk me through some setup.

PhonePower is getting inundated with support requests right now because of the mass migration off of Google Voice. It is just easier and faster if the PP tech takes care of things personally. Remember you can just change your password as soon as the PP tech is finished. Or just change your password now and when the tech is done just change it back to what it was originally.

Remember, you contacted them for help. Highly unlikely anything nefarious is going on here.
