I was able to login using ObiTalk Credentials.
Configured the device on the Obitalk Dashboard under softphone.
ObiOn is stuck in Acquiring service.
Tried Network Reset.
Restarted Phone.
Deleted and re-installed App.
Any pointers to troubleshoot and get this working ?

Issue is with OBiON/ObiTalk and iOS 8 update.  My iPad, OBi200, and OBiON/ObiTalk worked with iOS 7.  Now in continuous Acquiring Service mode with iOS 8.

My iPhone 3GS, OBi200, and OBiON/OBiTalk work with iOS 6.

Yep, all my devices worked on iOS 7, none work on iOS 8, stuck in Acquiring Service.  Tested on an old iPod with v6.1.6 and all is well.

Please update your app for iOS 8 Obihai!  I have tweaked every setting under apps/privacy etc. and reset network settings, deleted & reinstalled OBiON, restarted the OBi... it's gotta be the app in iOS 8!

I can confirm this problem since the iOS 8 upgrade, app is stuck in "Acquiring Service" state.  Logging out and logging in again doesn't change anything.  Restarting the app or the iPad doesn't change anything either.

Another iPad which is still on iOS 7 & is on the same home network, works perfectly.

[Update]
Filed a support request with Obihai about this issue.  First support ticket filed with them and I didn't get an acknowledgement by email (yet) or a ticket number to track the issue.  Anyway, I encourage everyone on this thread to file a request for an upgrade for iOS 8.

Obis support replied very promptly and suggested the following, which did not work for me. Could others please try this and confirm?

1. On your iPhone, go to Settings>General>Reset (scroll all the way down).
2. Click on, "Reset Network Settings."
3. Start your OBiON app again and it should show "Ready."

My iPad still cannot acquire service. Note that following the steps above will wipe out your network settings and you will need passwords for any networks you need to reconnect to.

Did iPad Reset Network Settings in iOS 8.0.2.  OBiON still has continuous "Acquiring Service..."

Hi jcbrown,

Thanks for testing and confirming.  Support replied that they have passed on the information to their app developer, and have no estimate when a fix will be available.

Glad I read this thread.  My IPad Air phone was working fine (while still looking like a grandma phone) until I loaded IOS8.  Now I'm stuck with the rest of you.

My old Galaxy SII is still working fine.

My IpadAir with IOS 8.0.2 update is also stuck in "Acquiring Service". I am unable to use the app.
"Reset Network Settings." did not make it work.

I also tried to reset the network setting but am still stuck on Acquiring Service.
using IOS 8.0.2 with iPhone 5S.

I guess the better question is, "is the ap working for ANYONE running IOS 8?"

Two years since the last update.

Add me to the list of iOS8.0.2 users with a non-functional OBiON app. Same as all- stuck Acquiring Service.

Same here... I have iPhone 5S upgraded to iOS 8.0.2, and during OBiON login, it is stuck in "Acquiring Service."
