OBi110 - Forward Landline calls to Google Voice

I just got another Obii110. I thought there was a way to have incoming calls on the landline forwarded to Google Voice so I can use Google Voice for voicemail on the landline.

But I can't seem to figure out how to do that, if possible. Maybe I am mistaken about that capability. I thought I was able to set that up with my other Obi110 and a different landline and Google Voice account.

I think the problem is that my new GV account does not show "Google Chat" as an option for forwarding. I have searched and tried everything, but I cannot get Chat as a forwarding option.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

That's backwards.  Google Voice is designed to be your one inbound phone number, to which people call to reach you, and from which you subsequently forward calls to your other numbers.

If you want to use Google Voice's voicemail, your land line number would need to support Conditional Call Forwarding (also known as No-Answer/Busy Transfer).  You would then program your land line phone service with CCF to send those calls to your GV phone number.

None of this is accomplished on the OBi -- it's all setup on your GV web page, and on your telephone carrier.

Go here to set it up on GV:  https://www.google.com/voice#phones

Just to let people know, I was able to finally get it working.
Now my unanswered landline calls get answered by Google Voice.

Here's the post with the instructions:
