I'm trying to configure "ITSP Profile F"  and "SP6" but it seems like I can't change anything. Please help:-)

How are you configuring the device? Locally or via the portal?

If you initially configured your device via the portal then go on to configure the device via the local web based GUI then the portal will overwrite anything you inserted locally.

Thank you!
I use only the portal to configure the phone, to maintain consistency and integrity.
Should I use the web admin locally?

Personal choice, if you want to configure the device locally then you will need to disable OBiTalk Provisioning otherwise any changes you make will get wiped by the portal.

When configuring the device via the portal you need to remove the ticks in the boxes to the right of the parameter you wish to edit... 'OBiTALK Settings' and 'Device Default' then you will be able to fill in the fields.

That's exactly what I did, but for only SP6 and ITSP-F, I can submit it, but it returns back to blank.

Thanks.

Do you use Google Voice? have you configured OBiPLUS at any point?

When I submit the change for SP6 via the portal, I got this error message:

Exception
save device error Invalid instance:6

Looks like SP6 if fake, even their website says it supports 6 instances.

carlyle705

I do use Google Voice, but haven't got a chance to play with OBIPLUS yet.

Are you running the latest firmware? If you are then it looks like there is an issue with the portal. I would open a support ticket.

Yes, I got the update even this morning. It is the latest firmware.

I can submit the change successfully via the local web interface, but the status still shows not configured.

Yea well there is a good chance any changes your making locally are getting overwritten by the portal. I just enabled SP6 locally and within seconds of submitting and rebooting it was disabled because that's what is set in the portal for my phone.

Go to System Management > Auto Provisioning and set OBiTalk Provisioning > Method to Disabled. Then try reconfiguring SP6 and ITSP Profile F again locally.

Tried it, didn't work, still.

After submiting and rebooting, it can store the field I changed, but the status of the line is still the same:
"Service Not Configured". I guess I got a malfunctioned phone.

Thanks.

Maybe you are not using the correct procedure.  Follow http://www.obitalk.com/forum/index.php?topic=8560.msg56460#msg56460 to the letter.

carlyle705

Yes, you are right.
For google voice, I have to use the non-expert page to configure, and log in to my google account in the same browser to authenticate obi to access my account, instead of just giving the username and password in expert mode.

Thanks.
