We are not using the call forwarding to go to the OBI AA, rather
Voip.MS's.
The pots line is forwarded to a
Voip.MS number. There we use time of day routing to send calls to voicemail or give them the menu (Press 1 for directions, press 2 for tour information, press 3 for info about the vrbo rental, press 4 to leave voicemail). If they press 0 the call comes to the Obi through SP1.
The problem is that the telco sends a 1 ring notice down the pots line and into the Obi and to the attached phone, to remind us that call forwarding is still in effect. "One short reminder tone will sound on your phone when a call is being forwarded. You cannot answer this call from your home."
Thus, we are not actually receiving a call inbound through the pots line, rather just the short ring. Either we need to find a way to ignore that short ring, or use DND.
There are times where we lose electric and/or Internet. They will need to pick up the phone and disable call-forwarding and answer all calls, since the Obi would not have power or Internet.
This Obi does NOT have the relay and it wouldn't matter as we have to disable call forwarding anyway and perhaps do not disturb.
