Can someone explain why Gmail call quality is better than Anveo call quality?

Obi 110, Gmail = SP1, Anveo = SP2 on a rural wireless internet.

I am only using VOIP for outgoing calls.

I know that a 'rural wireless internet' connection is far less than ideal, and I expect problems with call quality, but this does not explain why, when I am having problems with Anveo, my Gmail call quality remains more than adequate.

Does this even make sense?

Thanks,

Rob.

Call the same destination with Google Voice and then with Anveo, each time noting the Audio Codec line in the OBi Call Staus.  Google Voice uses G711.  Does Anveo use G711 also or does it use G729?  Audio quality with G711 is considerably better than with G729.

Thanks Ron, I guess it is G771:

The information you posted is not from the OBi Call Status during an active call using Anveo.

Sorry Ron but I cannot connect remotely to the OBI 110 at this time - I will get to the call log ASAP.

Thank you,

Rob.
