Obi100 using all bandwidth

Hi,

Just set up my obi100 with VoIP.ms a week ago. Things have been working well sporadically since then. I have my Internet line coming from the Pace router to the Netgear gigabit router then split to only my computer and the obi100. First thing I noticed was the people on the other end of the line can't hear me and my Internet on my computer would run slow.  Today I couldn't even connect to my computer with the ps3 over wifi.

Ran speedtest.net and got <0.5 Mbits/sec download and didn't have the patience to let the test finish. I unplugged the obi100 and ran the test again and got 9 Mbits/sec down and 1.5 up. As soon as I did that my PS3 connected perfectly again. Why would the obi be using all the bandwidth when no phone call or anything is happening?

The only thing I've done other than basic sip setup is forwarding UDP ports 5060-5063 and 10000-20000 for the obi device.

First, set your OBi Ethernet to 100 Mb full duplex. http://www.obitalk.com/forum/index.php?topic=5454.0

Then try your speed tests with a different site such as http://speedtest.comcast.net/

If the problem continues, power-cycle  router, modem, computer and OBi. Your problem sounds interesting, but try the stuff you do when weird symptoms appear.

What's the model# of the 'Pace router'?

Well after leaving the obi unplugged from the Ethernet cable (still plugged in to the power), I connected it back the next morning and it wasn't having that problem.  I still went through and switched it to 100 Mb as described and haven't had an issue in the last couple days.  It was an intermittent problem though, so I will continue monitoring it to see if anything changes.
