Other caller hears static

Hello everyone,

My Obitalk 110 worked great for the first few months I had it.  However, for the past several months, about 50% of my phone calls have been impossible because the other person hears so much static that they cannot make me out.  I have tried changing routers and enabling QoS.  Restarting the Obitalk before making a call does not seem to help.

I do not think the problem is with my Comcast connection, because I am always able to make and receive calls over Skype with perfect clarity.

Has anyone else encountered this problem and what did you do to resolve it?  I am almost at the point of getting a landline and I'd really rather avoid that!

My router is now a Asus RT-N66U, which replaced a Medialink Wireless N router.

Thanks so much!

Shale

1. Have you heard the sound yourself? Have multiple persons described the noise as static? Do they know the difference between static and garble? You probably should try the OBi echo test. Dial **9 222 222 222 and hear what it sounds like to you.

2. Have you tried a different phone?
